Tasting Note

The 2023 Shiraz is made from fruit selected from a vineyard Mike knows well, with similar terroir to the site that produced his first Shiraz in 2005.

Deep brick red in colour, the wine opens with forest fruit aromas and a gentle hint of spice. The palate is soft and fruit-driven, with ripe cherry, strawberry and the distinctive black pepper character Mike looks for in Shiraz.

Elegant and balanced, this is a generous yet approachable Shiraz made to be enjoyed.

“Deep bright ruby red colour. Fragrant and lifted with notes of raspberry and white pepper leaping from the glass. Medium weighted but has ample fruit intensity. It sings with fresh red and blue berry fruits, loads of white pepper and musk spices all bound by finely wrought tannins. A lovely wine that speaks of classic cool climate shiraz.
